Bridget E. McIlwee, DO is a dermatologist who trained at the University of North Texas Health Science Center/TCOM. Dr. McIlwee earned her BA in chemistry as well as minors in French, psychology, and political science from the University of Dayton in Ohio. She completed two years of pharmacogenetic cancer research at the University of Chicago prior to earning her doctorate from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine/Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. Dr. McIlwee completed her dermatology-focused osteopathic internship at University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center in Richmond Heights, OH. She currently sits on the ACGME’s Osteopathic Principles Committee and Council of Review Committee Residents; in the past she has been a member of several AOA Bureaus, Councils, and Committees. Dr. McIlwee’s work has been published in Cancer, Human Molecular Genetics, JAAD Case Reports, Journal of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, and numerous other peer-reviewed journals and textbooks. She is a member of numerous professional associations and has presented at meetings across the country. Dr. McIlwee is passionate about dermatologic surgery, skin cancer prevention and treatment, cosmetic dermatology, leadership and advocacy in the medical field, dermatologic and cosmetic research and product development, and osteopathic medicine.
